Nature Immersion School Partnership

Ages 7-11 yrs, this program is a great opportunity for home schooling families who want to add ecological awareness to their child's curriculum. It aims to nourish their social, emotional development, leadership skills and conflict resolution. They will enjoy hiking, build eco-consciousness, create nature journals and enjoy free time. We have become a vendor with Blue Ridge Academy, Sun Coast Prep, and Sky Mountain. If you are with a different charter school feel free to reach out and we'd be happy to become a vendor with them as well.

FAQ

Where is Forest School Held?

  • Nature is where our classes are primarily held. On special occasions, we explore beaches and parks in Culver City and sometimes have special field trips to museums for our West side location! Parents are responsible for drop off and pick up at the exact class location - which you will be notified ahead of time via email.

Does my child need to be potty trained?

  • Children do not need to be fully potty trained. We meet each child where they are and are happy to provide toileting support as needed, using our private pop-up potty/changing station or public restrooms when available. Please send your child with extra clothes and any supplies they may need

What if its raining or too hot out for camp?

  • Sessions are held rain or shine. If weather is too intense, we usually will re-locate class indoors such as the California Science Center. Notification will be given if this is the case.

How do we know the beaches and air quality are safe?

What is the Teacher to Student Ratio:

  • Ratios may change depending on the day and number of students enrolled. On full class days our maximum is 1:5 (Teacher to Student)

How do you handle separation anxiety?

  • Separation is a normal part of starting school. Our teachers provide gentle support, helping children feel safe, connected, and confident as they settle into the day.

How do you keep children safe outdoors?

  • Safety is our top priority. Our teachers maintain close supervision, establish clear boundaries, and teach children how to safely explore and respect the natural environment.
