Forest Therapy Walk

03/23/2019, Saturday
11am - 1pm

Nature School LA, Debs Park Road, Los Angeles, CA
Google link:

Join certified Forest Therapy Guide and co-creator of The Open School, Ben Page, and founder of Nature School LA, Biljana Milasin, for a relaxing and interactive day in nature. Unplug, breath and experience the healing practice of Shinrin-Yoku, which translates into English as 'Forest Bathing', enhancing health, wellness, and happiness through the atmosphere of the forest.

Parents will go with Ben for a guided walk through the natural beauty of Debs Park. It requires mindfully moving through the landscape in ways that cultivate presence, opening all the senses, and actively communicating with the land. You will notice things you rarely get the opportunity to in this special corner of Los Angeles. Children will stay with Biljana having fun activities and relaxing experiences in nature.

After the walk, we will all get together for a tea ceremony and talk about child development and the benefits of a forest school education.

Due to limited space and large interest in the event we have to charge a small amount. Children are free to attend with the purchase of one ticket. There is a total of 6 tickets that are donation based. For the remaining 9 tickets we ask for $25, which includes a spouse. Please choose the free tickets according so we can provide the appropriate care for the children and get an accurate head count of the adults. If this event sells out we will plan more Forest Therapy Walks for you and inform you as soon as one is scheduled.

It is not enough to RVSP on the Website anymore.
